Everest came out on DVD January 19th. The film depicts the true story of the expedition to Mount Everest. The guide, Rob Hall, leads the group under his company, Adventure Consultants in March 1996. The popularity of the mountain made the climb especially difficult that year. It was considerably crowded. This caused the group of climbers to be late on their decent back to the base camp. As the climbers start their way down, a terrible blizzard happens and many froze to death. Others ran out of oxygen and only a few made it. The film was quite detailed and makes you feel as though you are on the mountain fighting for your life. Daddy’s Home is a new comedy directed by Sean Anders and stars Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. This is a follow-up to the action-comedy The Other Guys. The movie is about a mild-tempered executive named Brad who is a stepfather to two children. He later meets their biological dad, Dusty who is quite attractive and has a cool-manner. Brad feels quite intimidated. The two end up having a war of-who’s-the-best-father. The movie was released on Christmas day of 2015 and has become a box-office hit. 99 Homes is a thriller film that takes place in Florida and follows a single father (played by Andrew Garfield) and family who were evicted from their home. Based off a true story, Garfield contacts businessman Rick Carver (played by Michael Shannon) to get a job. Carver was the person who had evicted them. Garfield works for him in exchange for a home. The film won a Grand Prix at the 2015 Deauville American Film Festival. It was released September 25th. Check out these images. Steve Jobs is film based off the life of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs. Jobs is played by Michael Fassbender and Seth Rogan plays Steve Wozniak. The movie is based off the biography Steve Jobs written by Walter Isaacson. The film starts with Jobs talking to marketing executive Joanna Hoffman (Winslet). They are dealing with the issues of launching the company in 1984. Time magazine publishes an article about the paternity dispute between Jobs and his ex-girlfriend. Lisa, his daughter tries to confront him and the two bond. Jobs provides money but denies he is the father. Olson Visual created multiple graphics including window graphics and backlit. The Walk is an American film that’s based off of the true story of French hihg-wire artist Philippe Petit. Petit walked across the Twin Towers of the late World Trade Center. The film is directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by him and Christopher Browne. It stars Ben Kingsley, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and James Badge Dale. It opened on September 30th in IMAX and October 9th in other theaters. Olson Visual created an amazing backlit graphic using their T3 System. The Martian opened recently opened on October 2nd with amazing critical appraise. Including Rolling Stone saying, “You won’t find a space epic that’s more fun to geek out at than The Martian”. It has grossed over $300 million at the box office. The film has an all-star cast with Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, Jeff Daniels, and Kristen Wiig. The film is directed by acclaimed science-fiction director Ridley Scott with such notable works as: Alien, Blade Runner, and Prometheus. The producer of the film Simon Kinberg developed the movie after the novel was dropped by 20th Century Fox back in March of 2013. Mad Max: Fury Road is the fourth film of the Mad Max franchise. However, this one is written, directed, and produced by George Miller. The movie takes place on a post-apocalyptic desert wasteland where water and gasoline are hard to find. The main character is Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy) who joins a revolt against the cult leader Immortan Joe, played by Hugh Keays-Byrne. This revolt is lead by Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron). Together, these characters create a large, lengthy road battle. The development started in 1997 and took many years. The first attempt to shoot the film was in 2001 but the September 11th attacks placed it on hold. Mel Gibson was reprise his role but after the filming stopped in 2003, he had quite. It is directed by Baltasar Kormákuropened at the 72nd Venice International Film Festival on September 2nd. The movie is based on the true events of 10–11 May 1996 Everest disaster. There were two expedition groups led by Scott Fischer and Rob Hall. These two guides made several survival attempts but all-together there were 12 deaths, making it one of the most tragic days on the mountain. However, there was an avalanche in 2014 that killed 16 people and the Nepal earthquake of 2015 that killed 18.
