Baywatch is a new film based off the 90s long-running TV series by the same name. The movie stars Zac Efron, Dwayne Johnson, Priyanka Chopra, and Kelly Rohrbach. Unlike the original series that was set in Malibu, this remake takes place in Broward County, Florida. The main story follows the character Mitch and his Baywatch team to save the beach from a drug dealer. Unfortunately, the film has had bad reviews saying it shouldn’t have turned it into a crime caper. There was a lot of positive critique that Johnson and Efron had great chemistry and are quite fun to watch. It has grossed already $173 million worldwide. Olson Visual created numerous graphics for this film including: banners, window graphics, T3 System… Check out these images showing our amazing and colorful work we installed all over Los Angeles.

Enduring Splendor – Hanuman Soni & Jasraj Soni from Fowler Museum on Vimeo. The exhibition “Enduring Splendor: Jewelry of India’s Thar Desert” at the Fowler Museum explores the traditions of silver jewelry in India’s Thar Desert area. This region is vast, stretching across Gujarat and Rajasthan. This tradition is over five-thousand years. Many pieces from the show are borrowed from LACMA (jewelry that were worn by Hindu gods in 17th centuries). They will present amazing work of the sonis (goldsmiths and silversmiths). The exhibition also features jewelry worn by men and women of the area today that are burrowed from the Ronald and Maxine Linde Collections. The Mummy is a reboot of the franchise Mummy starring Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe. It premiered in Sydney Australia on May 22, 2017 and the United States release opened on June 9th. Unfortunately, the film had negative reviews and was considered a box office tragedy. It had such a high production cost. The Guardian had mentioned, “no amount of clunky expository dialogue can untangle this mess of bones, bandages and bald commercial cynicism”. But the movie has done well internationally. Perhaps, Tom Cruise brought in a lot more overseas crowd. This helped to even out the $125 million production budget. Olson Visual installed numerous graphics of the film. This included: window graphics at Union Square, banner Graphics at Harkins Cerritos, and window graphics at Burbank. OV is expanding and doing projects all over the United States and internationally. Check out these installation images! … read more →
Los Angeles Nikodom Gallery recently presented an exhibition of Mungo Thompson’s work titled, “The Basilik”. The name derives from a preoccupied search for divine light and higher consciousness. To showcase our fears and enlightenment, Thompson built a Google visualization program to copy our neural functions. There were other artists who assembled their work over Thompson’s large murals. Jeremy Shaw installed a video DMT with images of young people on a psychedelic trip. Another work was by the kitsch artist Thomas Kinkade with Perseverance. Lazaros’s 999 Conductor can also be seen. Other objects were mumified cats, a sarcophagus, and sexual lubricants. All of the included pieces were almost absurd but had one credible concept: a remark on the fanatic religion that is the art world. Olson Visual installed Mungo Thompson’s large murals throughout the gallery. This created an immersive experience and added so much to the exhibition. Check out these images… read more →
The Natural History Museum of LA have organized a show around the theme of unusual creatures, “Extreme Mammals”. It highlights the diversity of the most interesting living and extinct animals. The exhibition originated at the American Museum of Natural History in New York but LA focuses mainly on Southern California. It is curated by Xiaoming Wang, a paleontologist who frequented Tibet for large mammals including the rhino. He defines an “extreme” mammal as features that are extreme relative to humans. One of the animals found in the exhibition is the giant mammoth who came over to the Channel Islands during the Ice Age. They could swim the 4-5 miles from mainland. The island ones were much smaller due to the limited food supply. The other featured mammal is the mountain lion, the only cat to survive the Ice Age (saber-tooths, jaguar, American lion, etc.). The mountain lion was the… read more →
