There is a commendable project going on in our city, collaboration between the Skid Row Housing Trust and LALA Arts. They have developed a large-scale public art mural project to infuse hope and life into the community of the Skid Row area. This gives children and the people of this city an inspiring awakening into self-expression and future dreams.
Artist, RISK was chosen to create a stunning and colorful mural that symbolizes hopes with a ray of light. It can be found in the side of the Hotel Las Americas deep in the heart of Los Angeles. It not only transformed the building but it has transformed the people. The saturated reds, oranges, yellows and accents of blues and greens give a striking new makeover to the streets of LA. It can be seen for miles. This is the start of the colorful future that will beautify the properties in low-income areas of Los Angeles.
