The science fiction film, Interstellar, premiered recently on October 26th in Los Angeles. It stars Michael Caine, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, and the Academy Award winner Mathew McConaughey. The movie takes place in space and is about a team of travelers who go through a wormhole to find a new planet that is habitable. The screenplay was written from The Dark Night’s Director Jonathan Nolan and Christopher Nolan. The film is inspired by Kip Thorne’s theories and the music was created by the talented Hans Zimmer. Filmed in Iceland, Los Angeles, and Alberta, Canada, this epic sci-fi has already been highly acclaimed and compared to the classic, Kubrick’s 2001: Space Odyssey.
Olson Visual got a chance to create some amazing costume and prop displays for the Arclight Hollywood and TCL Chinese Theatres. They knew exactly how to capture the sci-fi quality of the film by incorporating backlit graphics. The featured props in the photos below were actually worn by the cast.
